Rhonda Marcucci, CPA, Partner and Consultant
A veteran financial and operations executive with extensive experience in finance, accounting, administration, strategic planning, information systems, sales and marketing, and operations, Ms. Marcucci brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge relative to identifying strategy and executing against it. Her 25-year career has been focused on start-up ventures inherent on leveraging a corporation’s existing asset base. Ms. Marcucci became an industry expert in benefits administration outsourcing through her work with Marsh & McLennan where, as Senior Vice President, her primary focus was leveraging Marsh’s distribution and administration capabilities to penetrate new markets using benefit administration to further develop benefit programs. With GPM, Ms. Marcucci has built a nationally recognized boutique consulting practice, focusing on sourcing advice, service provider capability audits, and strategy and partnership work for entities wishing to enter or further penetrate the benefits administration market.

Edward Barry, CPA, Partner and Consultant; CFO, CIO, and COO
A seasoned financial and operations executive with experience in finance and accounting, audit, administration, strategic planning, information systems, human resources, risk management and operations, Mr. Barry’s 25-year career has focused on process and financial improvement to strategically gain savings and efficiencies for existing and start-up companies. His experience spans such industries as public accounting, real estate, telecommunications; financial, non-profit, and membership-based organizations. His familiarity with HR, payroll and benefits on the user/purchaser side provides a valuable perspective, enhancing operations and providing a different eye to strategy and partnership work for clients wishing to enter or grow within the benefits administration market.

Christa Aspel, Senior Consultant
With extensive experience in benefits administration outsourcing, business process development, customer service and leveraging web technologies to facilitate enterprise-wide services, Ms. Aspel brings in-depth, real-world customer knowledge and perspective to the strategic process, ensuring plans anticipate and exceed customers’ needs and expectations. Ms. Aspel’s expertise stems from her work at Marsh & McLennan where, as Vice President, Outsourcing & Technology and Vice President, Client Services, her primary focus was developing and executing outsourcing strategies for Marsh’s national client base, launching new services and working directly with clients to meet their benefits administration needs.

Patricia Sweeney, CEBS, Consultant
A 30-year industry veteran, Ms. Sweeney has broad experience in HR benefits management, staff and project leadership. Experienced in evaluation, selection, implementation and management of benefits products and vendors of outsourced services, Ms. Sweeney combines this experience with a strong customer service commitment, technical expertise and good common sense to produce practical solutions aligned with the client’s strategic and tactical concerns. Her in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience from the employer side allows Ms. Sweeney to leverage her expertise to improve plan designs, increase efficiencies and implement cost-saving measures for clients.

Mary Beth Carney, General Counsel
A 20+ year practicing lawyer, Mary Beth Carney serves as General Counsel for GruppoMarcucci. Ms Carney earned her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1987 and was admitted to the Illinois Bar. She worked as an associate with Latham & Watkins of Chicago, before relocating to California in 1988 where she was admitted to the California Bar the same year. There, she worked as an associate for O’Melveny & Myers, specializing in corporate law. Ms. Carney spent ten years as a contract attorney, providing corporate legal services to small law firms and corporations before joining Morpho Technologies as General Counsel and Vice President of Administration where she managed human resource issues. Ms. Carney has extensive experience reviewing and advising on benefit administration outsourcing contracts.

Augmenting the industry and operations experience and expertise of GPM’s consulting and management professionals is a supporting team of project management, communication and administrative experts from which GPM may draw upon if such support is desired or required to ensure project success for the client.
