Lots of great information came out of the 2012 HRMS Strategies Conference and Technology Expo, held in Chicago the first week of May, where the GruppoMarcucci team was there in full force to connect with industry players and spend time focusing on what’s happening in the marketplace and the latest industry trends. Following is a short summary of the key themes we took from the conference.
Much like the Benefits Administration Outsourcing industry, look for a significant amount of merger and acquisition activity in the HR payroll and talent management industry.
There’s acceleration to abandon on premise solutions and move to a SaaS cloud model.
The marketplace is rejecting service provider “one-size-fits-all” contracts, which can’t capture unique situations.
As the SaaS model continues to mature, the “how can you support delivery on our goal” RFP is replacing the “feature functionality” RFP.
As the economy begins to loosen up and the war for talent intensifies, the talent management space is becoming a de facto part of HR’s people and technology strategy.
